The City of Kalamunda is committed to fostering the talents and artistic pursuits of young people in the region. Myths : The Young Artist Awards 2025 is an exhibition to showcase and celebrate emerging young artists through a professional exhibition, giving them a platform and voice. In 2025, our theme is Myths, works inspired by folklore stories and legends.

Kalamunda Night Market

The Kalamunda Night Market is a place where families can meet, shop, and eat in a friendly, traffic-free environment, without breaking the bank.

The spread of market stalls through the centre of Kalamunda, live music, and street performers sets a safe carnival atmosphere for young and old.

Perth Hills Wine Show

The 2025 Labelmakers Perth Hills Wine Show is here! The annual Perth Hills Wine Show official awards evening on Friday 26 September includes trophy presentations for all category winners at Kalamunda Community Centre in Jorgensen Park.

This is your opportunity to enjoy award winning wines from the Perth Hills wine region and to help celebrate the successes of the producers who have taken out medals and trophies for 2025. The Perth Hills Wine Show is in its 26th year and represents wineries from Chittering to Serpentine and reaching into the Bickley-Carmel valley. Our judging panel of expert wine judges will include our Chair, Tony Davis (Snake and Herring Wines), Celine Rousseau (Eden Road Wines) and Ann Marie Tamburri (Lavinia Liquor).

WanderFest Piesse Brook Youth Hike

26, 27, 28 & 29 September

Where: Piesse Brook

The Piesse Brook Interpretive Trail is your chance to swap screens for scenery, trading the everyday for a journey through towering forests, granite outcrops, and winding creeks, all leading to the iconic Rocky Pool.

As part of the Perth Hills WanderFest series, this youth-focused guided hike is perfect for those who want to get out, get moving, and experience nature in a whole new way. The 3.4km return trail follows Piesse Brook, a lifeline for native wildlife, where you might spot splendid fairy wrens darting through the undergrowth, bobtails basking in the sun, and red-tailed black cockatoos soaring overhead. The trail meanders through ancient grass trees, towering jarrah and marri woodlands, and rocky ridgelines that make you feel like a true explorer.
